Approved Commercial Products and Paints

On receiving a request, the Rules Committee shall interpret whether the item is a commercial product by following the procedure detailed in Rule 32. However, they may delay the start of the procedure by up to one month after receiving the request in order to deal with multiple requests in a single batch.

Except as permitted in Rules 9.5 and 9.6, the outermost layer of the hull, foils and rudder must be a commercial product approved by the Rules Committee according to Rule 8, who shall only approve paints that are comparable to those on the list provided in Rule 8.6.
